KATHMANDU, March 31: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has recommended economist Dr Swarnim Wagle as the party’s candidate for the by-election to be held in Tanahun-1.
Earlier, Dr Wagle had decided to quit Nepali Congress (NC) alleging that he was repeatedly humiliated by the party's top leadership.
Wagle is positive about becoming an RSP candidate in Tanahun 1:...
According to the RSP, only one name of the party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has been recommended for the by-election to be held in Chitwan-2. Likewise, two names have been recommended from Bara 2 in the first phase for the by-elections to be held on April 23. Ramesh Kharel from Bara-2 and Yuvraj Neupane have been recommended in the first round.
The by-elections are being held in Tanahun-1 and Bara-2 after Ram Chandra Poudel and Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, who were earlier elected as members of the House of Representatives, were elected as President and Vice-President, respectively.
