Top 16 professionals who are in the order of merit of season 2011-12 have qualified for this match play event to conclude on Wednesday. All match play events will be over 18 holes except the final, which will be played over 36 holes.[break]
Eight matches of the first round and the quarterfinal matches will be played on the first day of the tournament. Semifinal matches will be played on Tuesday and the final match and the third place play-off will be played on the last day, Wednesday.
Nepal No 1 Shivaram Shrestha will face CB Bhandari, Mani Rai of Dharan faces Ram Thapa in the first match. Other matches in the top tier of the draw are Surya Sharma against Ram Krishna Shrestha and Ramesh Nagarkoti against Yelembar Singh Adhikari.
In the bottom tier, veteran and winner of the last event Deepak Thapa Magar will play against Dhana Thapa, Ramesh Adhikari against Deepak Acharya. Sanjay Lama´s opponent is Umesh Nagarkoti while Rabi Khadka will face Pashupati Sharma.
Winner of the tournament will receive a check of Rs 50,000 while the runner-up will receive Rs 30,000. Third-place holder will bag Rs 22,000.
