The tournament will be played over 72 holes, in which 24 professionals and 20 top amateurs will take part, where cut will be applied after 36 holes. The top 20 professionals and the ties as well as the top nine amateurs will qualify for the final 36 holes.[break]
The event carries a total purse of Rs 330,000 and the winner will get a check of Rs 60,000 while the runner-up will take home Rs 40,000. Others in the top 20 will also receive their share of cash prizes.
Nepal No 1 Shiva Ram Shrestha will miss the tournament as he is away in India for PGTI tournaments. Defending champion Dhana Thapa, Rabi Khadka, Ramesh Adhikari, Ramesh Nagarkoti and Deepak Thapa Magar will be strong contenders for the title.
Meanwhile, Bikash Bogati, Tashi Tsering and Surya Nepal Youth Golf Development Program members Bishnu Sharma, Sunil KC and Dinesh Prajapati are among the favorites to lift the amateur trophy.
