Only four teams are competing in the super league round. The final four teams were selected from among 24 teams from the qualifying rounds of the national league held in different districts last month.[break]
The organizer Nepal National Marwari Yuwa Association announced during a press conference in Kathmandu on Tuesday that preparations for the tournament have been completed.
Arihant Group Biratnagar 1, RMC Yodha Birgunj 1, Bagmati Chargers Bhairahawa and Maruti Suzuki Kathmandu 1 will compete for the title in the super league.
Biratnagar faces Birgunj in the opening match on Wednesday, while Bhairahawa takes on Kathmandu in the second match of the day.
The super league will be played in round robin format. The top two teams will qualify for the final. All the matches of the super league will be broadcast live on Himalayan Television.
The coach of Biratnagar said the team is a bit weak as four of their key players are injured. "We have to field four new players for the super league," said the coach.
On the other hand, the captain of Bhairahawa said their team is full of young players but some players are injured.
