KATHMANDU, Dec 1: Sandeep Lamichhane’s Kerala Knights registered its first win of the T10 league’s super league round defeating Bengal Tigers by seven wickets chasing the target of 124 runs in Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah in Friday. Knights climbed up to sixth place in the eight-team super league group in the ongoing T10 league. But the team is out of the race for the playoff places.

Knights winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Lamichhane delivered the second and only over of the match conceding 20 runs as West Indian and Bengal Tigers’ all-rounder Sunil Narine smashed three sixes in the over. Lamichhane only bowled an over in the match as skipper Eoin Morgan chose Indian veteran Reetinder Singh Sodhi to complete the fifth bowling quota. Sodhi conceded 10 runs from his over as Tigers posted 123 runs on the board.

Lamichhane finishes the tournament with six wickets in six matches and an economy rate of 13.5 runs per over. He conceded the second most expensive bowling spell in last match against Northern Warriors when he conceded 47 runs in two overs in a deflating defeat.
