Central focused on the defensive areas after conceding early in the match, which denied Far-western to add to their lead despite having created a lot of chances.
In the other match played on the same day, departmental team Nepal Police Club (NPC), who had already booked their place in the Super League, defeated Eastern Region by a comfortable 5-0 win.
Nirmala BK scored a hattrick in the NPC’s win, while Niru Thapa added two goals. BK completed her hattrick within the first half. She scored her first goal in the fourth and the second goal in the 15th minutes. She found the net for the third time three minutes before the end of the first half.
The NPC, who had taken control over the game throughout the first half, were boosted by Thapa’s two late goals deep into the second. She scored her personal first goal in the 77th minute and completed her brace in the last minute of the match to give the NPC a big margin win.
