By No Author
KATHMANDU, July 11: Locals of Sundarighat, Lalitpur, have staged a sit–in in front of the District Administration Office, Lalitpur, protesting the government bid to relocate the squatters evicted from their temporary settlement on the bank of the Bagmati River in Thapathali, on Wednesday.

Due to the sit-in, day-to-day works of the DAO have been halted. The agitating locals have been demanding that the government scrap its decision to resettle the squatters in their locality. Recently, the government has relocated the squatters, building temporary settlements in Sundarighat.
