Urmila DC and Rita Lama of Nepal, Arati Kolokhe of India and Panna Akhtar of Bangladesh made it to the semifinal of 45 kg category. Kusum Khadka and Punam Rai of Nepal, and Renu Kirpe and Dhanasi of India made it to the semifinal of 40 kg section.[break]
In 35 kg, Alisa Lama and Ayasa Shahi of Nepal, and Waishna Miva and Kritika Dili of India secured semifinal. Similarly, Karuna Shrestha and Apsarai Moktan of Nepal, Mehar Afroj of Bangladesh and Yogita Telang of India booked semifinal ticket in 30 kg. Binita Maharjan and Kesang Lama of Nepal, Baisnabi of India and Misera Akhtar of Bangladesh booked semifinal place in 25 kg.
In women´s kick boxing event, Sarada Raut, Karma Tamang and Anisha Maharjan of Nepal, and Panna Akhtar of Bangladesh secured place for last four in women´s 40 kg. Renuka Bista, Rasmita Shrestha, Sangita Tamang and Sasikala Rai made it to 50 kg semifinal. All of them are from Nepal.
All four Nepali players secured semifinal berth in men´s 50 kg section. Laxman Basnet, Bishnu Nepali, Prakash Kumar Bista and Chiran Kumar Tamang secured semifinal places. In men´s open kumite, Sushil Tripathi and JB Pandey of Nepal, and Sainath Malkey of Nepal advanced into the semifinal.
The final will be held on Monday. The event is being organized by high school central committee of Nepal Siterio Karate Do Association.
