NEPALGUNJ, Nov 12: Deputy Prime Minister and Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala expressed confidence that the talks between top leaders of the three big parties will forge political consensus.

Talking to journalists at Nepalgunj Airport on Friday, she said, "Public trust in political parties will fall if the leaders cannot strike an agreement even at this time." [break]

She said the senior leaders should think about the welfare of the nation and people. The present political impasse can be resolved only when the parties forge consensus on constitution writing, peace process and new government formation, she said. "The UCPN-Maoist has not still been serious on the management of its army combatants and weapons".

In another context, she said that that India´s claim that "Nepali Maoists have been giving training to Indian Maoists" is serious issue and the government has been investigating into this matter.
