KATHMANDU, July 19: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Sujata Koirala has announced that she will support Dr Shekhar Koirala in the upcoming General Convention of the party.

After meeting Dr Shekhar at his Baluwatar-based Secretariat, Sujata announced her support for him in the upcoming convention and clarified that there is no dispute between them.

Sujata stated that NC leader Dr Shekhar has taken the leadership role in fulfilling the family’s dream and emphasized the need for unity to find solutions to the country’s problems.

Similarly, Dr Shekhar said that everyone should move forward together when the country is in a difficult situation. Some issues that occurred in the past have now been resolved and there is no need to worry, he said.

Dr Shekhar also emphasized his intention to reunite and move forward. He urged the leaders and cadres to get ready for the upcoming convention.
