The notice of closure was issued by Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City, citing extreme heat. City police personnel were dispatched to schools such as Adarsha Secondary School, Nepalgunj, and Jay Bageshwari Boarding School to ensure compliance with the directives. The sub-metropolitan city sent a team of city police personnel, led by its chief, to various schools on Sunday to enforce the closure.

Surya Bahadur Bogati, the city police chief, mentioned that the school administration had installed air conditioning units in each classroom to facilitate summer studying and minimize the impact of heat on students. Following the deployment of city police, the schools announced a summer vacation starting from Monday.

A local Adarsha Secondary School sent a notice to parents stating that the school would be closed from Monday, June 5th, to Tuesday, June 6th, due to extreme heat and the resulting difficulty in studying, with compensation provided during the upcoming monsoon holidays.
