Student found dead in school’s hostel in Nayabazar

KATHMANDU, May 31: A student was found dead inside the hostel of Eternal Light Public School in Nayabazar, Kathmandu.

A grade 5 student who hailed from Dhading was found dead last night hanging inside his hostel room, according to Lanchaur police.

His body has been sent to the hospital for a post-mortem. The cause of his death has not been revealed. The police said that further investigation into the incident is underway.

A police team has been stationed on the school premises to avert any untoward incident further as the parents and relatives of the students and locals have gathered at the school and are chanting slogans against the school.
