Bill bars local units from recruiting civil servants
In the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, MP Tripathi said that the composition and distribution of Nepal's civil servants is flawed. He claimed that no government will be popular until a new Civil Service Act is introduced. MP Tripathi also said that there is a dilemma whether to consider employees who have gone through staff adjustment or not. He insisted that such a dilemma will remain until the Civil Service Act is enacted. Tripathi said that the system of appointing the province secretary and administrative officer has been compromised. He also said that it has not been possible to find out where the Civil Service Act, which is an important law of government administration, is stuck. He said that since the Civil Service Act has not been issued, it is more about governance than good governance.
