Jibesh Rayamajhi, coordinator of the play, explained, “This is an improvised play where everyone helped with the story.”

The play started with a father conversing about his intention to help his daughter study further in the capital due to the lack of schools offering higher education in the village. The audience gathered to watch the play in one corner of Basantapur Durbar Square, chuckled and nodded their heads in agreement as the play progressed.

After Basantapur, the group performed in two other places in Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square, at 3 pm and 5:30 pm respectively.

The play was organized in association with Plan Nepal as part of its ‘Because I am a girl’ campaign.
