A cabinet meeting held on Thursday decided to promote incumbent eastern regional police chief DIG Upendra Kanta Aryal for the post of Additional Inspector General of the police.
Meanwhile, amid a function at the police headquarters, Naxal, Inspector General of the Police, Kuver Singh Rana presented insignia to newly promoted AIG Aryal on Friday.
