Sports Minister Chaudhary joins bronze medalist Palesha in city tour

KATHMANDU, Sept 4: Paris Paralympics bronze medalist Palesha Goverdhan has been honored with a city-tour procession which was joined by Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary.

KATHMANDU, Sept 4: Paris Paralympics bronze medalist Palesha Goverdhan has been honored with a city-tour procession which was joined by Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary.


The National Sports Council (NSC) conducted the city tour to welcome and honor Goverdhan’s arrival in Nepal this morning.

Besides, Minister for Youth and Sports Chaudhary, Tanka Lal Ghising, the member secretary of the NSC, also participated in the city tour.


The city tour of Palesha that started from the Tribhuvan International Airport, passed through Gaushala, Old Baneshwar, Maitidevi, Dillibazar, Bagbazar, Bhadrakali, Sahid Gate, Tripureshwar Chowk and concluded at the NSC complex in Tripureshwar


In the Paralympics held in Paris, Palesha competed in the Women’s 57 kg weight category under the K44 category and won a historic bronze medal for Nepal.
