The declaration directs all the stakeholders to obey IOC Charter and to uphold the ethics of the Olympic Movement. The declaration states, "The congress unanimously realized that the fundamental principles of the Olympic Movement in accordance with the IOC Charter shall be strictly complied by all the stakeholders of the Nepalese Olympic Movement with full respect and responsibility on a fully reliable basis."

Likewise, declaration urges national sports associations to chalk out strategic development plans incorporating the vision set by the NOC in conjunction with the WADA Anti-Doping Code.

The congress also agreed that ethics and good governance shall be applied to all stakeholders of the Olympic Movement in Nepal. It also stated that full support of the government authorities is essential for the success of the Olympic movement.

Meanwhile, the congress urged for coordination and respect for the each other. Likewise, the congressalso stressed on the need to provide scholarships, vocational training and pension facilities for the national players and the need to establish Players Welfare Fund. The congress also stressed on the need to keep sports sector away from political interferences.

The two-day congress discussed the working papers on ´national and international games´, ´the athletes´, ´current sports policy of Nepal´, ´sports marketing´, ´Olympic movement and IOC Charter´, ´media and sports´, ´peace and sports´, and ´anti-doping´.

The disputed congress began on Saturday at the Godavari Village Resort after the row over chef-de-mission between the NSC and NOC was settled by the two sides.

In its bid to disrupt the Congress, the NSC had issued a notice to all the associations, players, coaches and referees affiliated to the apex sports body not to attend the two-day event.

But the NSC agreed to conduct the congress after the NOC approved NSC member Secretary Hari Babu Chaudhari as the chef-de-mission for the 16th Asian Games (Asiad) at a meeting organized by the NOC on Saturday morning.
