KATHMANDU: Suresh Giri´s decider in the 39th minute helped Norling Gazal Restaurant clinch the title of First Rupak Memorial 5-A-Side Corporate Football Tournament on Friday. Giri´s lone goal was enough to defeat Himalayan Bank 1-0 in the final played at Jawalakhel Football Ground. Ncell thrashed Chaudhary Group 7-3 to take the third place. Prajwol Prajapati scored a hat trick while Suresh Dhungana scored a brace while Khem Bahadur Shrestha and Chandra Maharjan scored apiece to give a high margin win to Ncell. Sudan Singh Silwal scored twice and Pukar Shrestha scored a goal for Choudhary.
Bishal Giri of Norling was the highest scorer of the tournament with 10 goals in his name. Ncell´s Prajwol Prajapati was adjudged player-of-the-tournament. Prajapati had scored nine goals in the tournament. All Nepal Football Association President Ganesh Thapa gave away the prizes to the winners and officially unveiled the logo of "Sportsmen Welfare Fund". The tournament was organized by Rupak Memorial Foundation to establish Sportsmen Welfare Fund.
