Now MMC will carry Laxmi Hyundai ahead of their name in any official match they play. Other than the cash, Laxmi Group will also provide sporting kits to the team. The deal will remain valid for a year.
MMC are the highest six-time league winners in the Nepali league football history along with Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT). In a bid to win the ongoing edition of the A Division league, MMC have come up with four Korean players.
Triton, Golden Gate in Whitehouse Cup final
KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Triton and Golden Gate cruised to the final of the Whitehouse Cup U-19 National Basketball Tournament in the girls´ category defeating Whitehouse and Xavier International respectively at the covered hall of the Dasharath Stadium on Friday.
Triton edged out Whitehouse 47-39 in the first semifinal match. Triton won the first quarter 16-12 but went down in the second 12-14. Triton, however, won the last two quarters 11-5, 8-7 to secure berth in the final. Merile Shrestha of Whitehouse was the highest scorer of the match with 16 points.In another semifinal match, Golden Gate defeated Xavier International 42-29. Golden Gate won all four quarters of the match 9-6, 8-5, 17-14, 8-4 to qualify for the final. Neha Chaudhary of Golden Gate scored the highest 21 points while Seema Karki of Xavier scored 19 points.
The boys´ teams of Golden Gate will take on Dharan while Kaski will face VS Niketan in Saturday´s semifinals. The final matches will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday at the covered hall.
