For a 14, well 15-year-old high schooler, homecoming is the time to enjoy his teenage days. But, not if you’re Spiderman. In the recent spin-off of Marvel’s spidey-series, Spiderman Homecoming, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is seen trying hard to be that quintessential superhero.

The movie shows the time after Spiderman gets back home from the civil war between Captain America and Iron Man. He is anxious to be a part of the next big thing, test limits of his newfound power and new suit, all the while struggling to keep it a secret. The movie also shows hilarious bits where Spiderman struggles to make perfect landings and his fascination for the power never stops.

But, a superhero movie is incomplete without a villain. Vulture (Michael Keaton) gets hold of an alien substance from avengers’ war in the past and modifies them to his benefit. He conducts underworld business with his underlings until he comes in radar of our spidey superhero. Things start to unfold and Spiderman is left to fight him alone and put a stop to his evil acts. But will he be successful or lose what is dear to him?

Holland portrays the perfect immaturity of a new superhero, who carries a sense of responsibility and wants to make his mark. And every entrance of Iron Man (Robert Downing Jr) and his assistant Happy (Jon Favreau) to guide Spiderman is a treat in itself.
Spiderman’s best friend Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) has a hilarious comic timing and gives you a laugh with his questions. He is the perfect friend a superhero can have and does a great job being the ‘guy in the chair’.

The 3-D effects make the movie-watching experience even more special for the movie-goers. Every detail has been carefully crafted and it’s a lively experience. The spidey-suit shows an exceptional potential but sadly you won’t get to see its full potential in this movie. It will only leave you wanting more.

It’s a definite treat for Spiderman fans. Go watch Spiderman in action!!!
