KATHMANDU, Dec 7: Speaker Onsari Gharti has intensified efforts to end the ongoing obstruction at the Legislature-Parliament.
The speaker geared up saying that the continued obstruction has hindered endorsement of important bills.

Speaker Gharti on Monday morning held consultations with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepali Congress leaders Mahesh Acharya and Chinkaji Shrestha on bills registered by the erstwhile government and contemporary politics.
During the meet, the top leaders said the solution to the current deadlock should be sought through the parliament, adding that they will do needful to resume proceedings.
According to personal aide to speaker Suraj Kumar Dura, major parties said they are ready to solve the crisis through talks. Source said leaders said they are ready to discuss the Madhes issue in the parliament.
Speaker Gharti also held meet with Madhesi leaders on ending the obstruction. The leaders replied the speaker that they will continue with their agitation until top leaders return from India visit.
Meanwhile, the meeting of the parliament scheduled for 11 am on Monday has failed to start.
