KATHMANDU, July 4: Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara has held separate meetings with leaders of different political parties on Sunday with an objective of resuming House of Representatives.
The opposition parties have been obstructing HoR for the past few days demanding formation of parliamentary probe committee on Sarlahi incident. Speaker Mahara held meetings with Deputy Leader of Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party, Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, and Chief Whip Bal Krishna Khand, Coordinator of Rastriya Janata Party Presidium, Raj Kishor Yadav, and leader Laxman Lal Karna and Chief Whip of the Nepal Communist Party, Dev Gurung, at his office in Singha Durbar.

Speaker Mahara said that the discussion was very positive and expressed hope that the obstructed House would be resumed from Monday. The HoR meeting has been called for Monday.
