Daicha Maharjan is a farmer and a grandfather. He can be found sitting in a sunlit corner in Patan Durbar Square with his friends to escape the boredom of his house.
Worth of stories
He proudly maintains that he knows nothing but farm work, and he has traveled to the United States of America to visit his children who decided to settle there. Maharajan, 76, thinks out loud, “I had an arranged marriage but these days people are into love-marriage. Cell phones have made people’s life easy. Whether it is for marriage or work, cell phones help you to connect with anyone you wish. I have seen everything change with time such as the clothes people wear and the structures around. But I am living a contented life.”
