According to a statement issued by SOS Children´s Village headquarters in Nepal, the International Day of Families is a special day to take some time to giving thanks to their own families, and reach out to all those children throughout the world.
The SOS Children village in Nepal has nine centers and seven youth facilities and it has given protection to over 1600 children and youths. The INGO runs seven SOS Hermann Gmeiner Schools and three SOS Vocational Training Centers for more than 5,000 children, teenagers and young adults.
