Son thrashes father to death in Gorkha

GORKHA, Nov 12: A man has ‘died after being thrashed’ by his son at Dhansar of  Siranchowk Rural Municipality-8 in Gorkha district.

Tularam Dhakal, 70, breathed his last after being thrashed by his son Bhuwan Dhakal, 40, on his chest and legs. Bhuwan thrashed his father with his legs when a dispute erupted between them during rice harvesting.

Dhakal, who had sustained injuries during the attack, was declared dead at Jauhari Primary Health Center, where he was taken for treatment.

His son was held following the incident, said DSP Basudev Khatiwada at the District Police Office, Gorkha. The mortal remains have been kept at the local health center for post mortem.
