KATHMANDU, March 13: There is a possibility of snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the country today. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is currently a partial influence of the westerly-low pressure system in Nepal.

According to the meteorological bulletin issued by the MFD earlier at 6 am, currently the weather is partly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country and the rest of the area is mainly clear.

The MFD said that the weather will remain mostly clear in the remaining parts of the country this afternoon with partial change in weather in the hilly areas. The MFD has also stated that there is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the country.

Similarly, the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces tonight. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and the high hilly and mountainous areas of Sudurpaschim Province.
