Snow fall in Humla makes life difficult

Jumla has been affected by snow fall from Friday morning. The snow fall has been preceded by two consecutive rainy days.

JUMLA, March 10: Jumla has been affected by snow fall from Friday morning. The snow fall has been preceded by two consecutive rainy days. 


The last snow fall had occurred around two months ago


The local media have been dysfunctional due to three consecutive cloudy days. The locals have been obliged to lead a very difficult life.

The snow fall combined with two days' consecutive rains have also disrupted the daily service delivery by the governmental and non-governmental organizations since the locals and the staffs working in these organizations are not in a position to move out comfortably.


Even the shops are closed due to the snow fall. 


The tall hills are covered with snow. Jumla section of Karnali highway has been covered with snow. 


Though the normal life has been adversely affected by the snow fall, apple farmers are elated over it. Since the snow fall turns the farming land into wet land, it makes apple farming more productive.
