Snakebite kills three in Kailali

DHANGADHI, July 12: Snake menace has panicked Kailali district with four persons dying of snakebite within the past week alone.



The latest victims were identified as Armed Police Force personal Khusi Ram Chaudhary (38) and Sahuni Chaudhary of Dododhara VDC.



The duo died while undergoing treatment at the Seti Zonal Hospital.



With monsoon in progress, cases of snakebite have swelled in the district. The Seti Zonal Hospital has received increased flow of patients of snakebite.



Each year during monsoon, snakes stray into houses and invade human areas. Many persons die of snakebite in Kailali every year.



To their horror, many locals spot snakes crawling in the open in several parts in the district. During rains, snakes of goman, karate species come out and create a scare in the district.
