SLC Exam Superintendent Commits Suicide in Ilam

ILAM, March 24: A superintendent assigned for the ongoing SLC exams has committed suicide in the district.

Bimal Pradhan assigned as a superintendent at the exam centre of Birendra Secondary School in Suryodaya municipality killed self by consuming poison last night.


He consumed poison reaching the Mechi River after the completion of Monday's science exam.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Anup Shumsher JB Rana informed that superintendent Pradhan injured seriously with the poison died while being treated at Manamohan Memorial Hospital of Jhapa district.

He was the former reporter for the National News Agency (RSS) and a principal at Purna Memorial Higher Secondary School, Godak of Ilam.

Following his demise, the SLC Exam Coordination Committee has assigned resource person Jay Bhandari as the superintendent. RSS
