KAPILVASTU, Mar 19: Six girls have been rescued from Marjadpur border point in Yashodhara Rural Municipality in Kapilbastu district on Sunday.
Police rescued the girls while they were en route to the third countries after a middleman lured them of better employments.
Officials of the Armed Border Security Force said that the girls were rescued based on a tipoff. Inspector of the Armed Police Force, Nepal Amrit Dulal said the girls, two from Kapilbastu and four from other districts, were interrogated after the doubts and were rescued later on.
Likewise, middleman Ganesh Khatri has been handed over to the Police Post in Marjadpur.
The local residents said that trafficking of girls from this border point is taking place for lack of social organizations to work against trafficking in persons in the area. RSS
