Sichuan Air’s aircraft in air for an hour after overshooting the runway

KATHMANDU, August 30: An aircraft belonging to the Sichuan Air from Chengdu attempting to land at the Tribhuvan International Airport had to remain in the air for an hour after overshooting.

KATHMANDU, August 30: An aircraft belonging to the Sichuan Air from Chengdu attempting to land at the Tribhuvan International Airport had to remain in the air for an hour after overshooting.

Due to bad weather conditions, the visibility of the airport was poor and the aircraft had to overshoot during landing, the airport said. The aircraft, which was scheduled to land at 6:29 this morning, overshot near Imadol during landing. The plane landed at 7:51 AM, according to the airport. The aircraft went for another approach after its first approach to the runway was diverted.
