Narayan Dhakal, Ramhari Dhakal, Jhabindra Ghimire, Chandra Bikram Chaudhary, Hari Rai, Raju Shrestha, Bijay Ghale, Pravin Joshi and Anil Shakya were elected members of the DFA. The representatives of 13 clubs of the district participated in the election.
The working committee meeting held on Saturday also nominated Heramkumar Asim as the secretary and Rajeshram Shrestha as the treasurer. Likewise, the meeting also selected Raju Basnet as the representative for the upcoming All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) election.
President Shrestha and vice president Piya are selected as observers for the ANFA election.
Bauddha Dojo lift trophy
KATHMANDU, July 18: Bauddha Dojo lifted the trophy of the second Bagmati Zonal Karate and Kick-boxing Tournament with eight gold, five silver and two bronze medals. Baglung secured the second spot with three gold and Balaju came third with two gold, a silver and four bronze medals.
Under men´s Kumute, Niranjan Khadka of the host National Dojo and in women´s Muna Rana Magar of Manakamana were adjudged the best players. In men´s kick-boxing, Ganesh Bhandari of Lagenkhel and Melina Adhikari of Samakhushi were declared the best players.
The tournament was organized by Nepal Karate Association, National Dojo, at the DL Party Palace, Tinkune.
