KATHMANDU, Sept 24: The Shanti Education Initiative Nepal (SEI) under its project ‘Post Earthquake Reconstruction/Renovation of Schools 2015-16’, has handed over two newly constructed school buildings to Shree Basuki Secondary School, Mahalaxmi Municipality-10, Lalitpur amid an event organized on Thursday. 


According to a press statement, the organization has already built and renovated 24 school buildings and hand them over at Dolakha, Kavre, Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Rachana Maharaj, executive director of SEI Nepal, informed that the total expenditure to construct the buildings stood at Rs 2,997,828, according to the press statement. 


Similarly, President of SEI Nepal, Rabindra Maharjan, expressed that he was elated to have been able to build proper infrastructures for better a teaching-learning environment. The event was held with the presence of Constituent Assembly member Madan Bahadur Amatya as the chief guest.
