Armed Police, New Diamond to vie for women’s volleyball title
Fresh from the successful campaign of 1st Mayor Cup Women’s Volleyball that had concluded just a week ago, APF coach Gyanendra Bista was confident that his team will win the title if the players do not lose coordination in the final match.
APF includes national volleyball players Saraswoti Chaudhary, Nabina Chaudhary, Usha Bista, Reshma Bhandari, and Binita Budha. Meanwhile, New Diamond that has been able to produce unexpected results in the domestic tournaments recently, is expected to present a tough challenge to APF.
Though New Diamond has lost to APF several times in the past meetings, coach Kumar Rai said that spiker Manju Gurung and Prathiva Mali’s performance can turn the game in their favor. The final match will be played on Monday.
