KATHMANDU, Feb 6: Shivam New Diamond Academy and departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) are set for summit clash in the ongoing first Shivam New Diamond Cup National Open Women’s Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday.
In the semifinal matches played on Saturday, NDA beat TOPS Higher Secondary School 3-1, while APF saw off the other departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) on straight set of 3-0 to make its way to the final.

At the Dhorpatan Volleyball Training Center at New Bus Park, NDA defeated TOPS 25-9, 22-25, 25-18, 25-15. The second choice open spiker of NDA Panamika Rai was named the player-of-the-match.
Player-of-the-match and quick spiker Hira KC helped APF get a comfortable victory over TAC 25-15, 25-17, 25-6.
All the players of the match will be rewarded with a Sahas Sports’ brand tracksuit sponsored by Sahas Sports.
TOPS and TAC will vie for the third place earlier on the same day. Even though it had been informed that six teams will take part in the three-day tournament, only four teams participated after departmental team Nepal Police Club and Shree Gaun Sports Development Committee withdrew their participations.
