‘Shatru Gate’ bagged the best film award at NFDC National Film Award, which was organized on the premises of Hyatt Regency Kathmandu, on April 26. According to the organizer NFDC, 83 films and artists of those films participated in the award function. Twenty-three categories of awards were distributed on the occasion. 

‘Lilly Billy’ and ‘Aishwarya’ bagged four awards each. Director of ‘Lilly Billy’, Milan Chams, won the best director award. Sudeep Baral, Jassita Gurung, and Aish Karki of the same movie bagged the best cinematography, best debut female actor and best background music awards, respectively. Likewise, Keki Adhikari, Anju Panta, Sugam Pokharel, and Prashanta Tamrakar from ‘Aishwarya’ bagged the NFDC award for best supporting actress, best female singer, best male singer, and best assistant director awards respectively.

 ‘Shatru Gate’ directed by Pradeep Bhattarai and ‘Chhakka Panja-2’ directed by Deepa Shree Niraula won three awards each. From ‘Chhakka Panja-2’, Deepak Raj Giri, Kedar Ghimire, Jitu Nepal, and Abhmanyu Narabi bagged the best story and dialogue awards. Similarly, Kedar Ghimire won the best comedy actor award for the same film.

Best musician: Rajan Raj Siwakoti ( 2-Rupayia)
Best actress: Benisha Hamal (Blind Rocks)
Best debut actor: Ashirman Deshraj Joshi (Gangster Blues)
Best lyricist: Dr Krishna Baral (Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu)
Jury award: Ramesh Budhathoki (Bhui Manche)
Best commercial film: Chhakka Panja-2
