KATHMANDU, May 23: Opendra Sharma has been appointed General Manager of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS).

Sharma has a history of practising journalism for the past 19 years, having worked for various newspapers like Jana Aawhan, Janadesh and Janadisha dailies in between the period.
Sharma is also former chairperson of the Board of Directors of Citizens Investment Fund. He served for Naulo Janaubhar weekly as assistant editor and is the publisher and editor of monthly magazine 'Hamro Mukti Yatra'.
Born on May 25, 1966 in Musikot-5 in Rukum, he earned his Bachelor's degree in education and management. He also taught for 14 years at schools in Rukum before joining active journalism in 2055 B.S. RSS
