KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Prof. Dr. Yuvraj Sharma has been appointed as the private physician of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. A cabinet meeting held on Thursday appointed Sharma as Dahal's private physician.
Dr. Sharma is currently working as a professor and medical director of the Department of Medicine at Patan Institute of Health Sciences.

Dr Sharma said that he received the prime minister's letter appointing him as a private doctor on Monday evening. As people in government service cannot get double services, Sharma has decided to take the services and facilities of Patan Hospital only.
"In addition to my duty at Patan Hospital, I will successfully fulfill the responsibility of the private physician of the Prime Minister," said Dr. Sharma said.
Dr Sharma, who has completed MD in two subjects in Nepal, has also received a fellowship to travel abroad for studies. Sharma is one of the best doctors in Nepal. Dr. Sharma is highly specialized in Internal Medicine and stomach and liver related diseases.
