The heart of the democracy
is cracked open, parched and sun-dried.
And its soul has been encroached as the
public land in the Kathmandu Valley.
No, I’m not going to smile as a baby
and then sleep listening to their fairy tales
Shame! Shame! Shame! Shame on Nepal
of prosperity for all over and over again.
I’ve had enough of these politicians,
who in reality cannot look beyond
the next election but we believe
they will make our life and our nation better.
Shame on us! The days of people’s fury
may be just beginning behind the curtain
of the democracy’s highest court.
They are sharpening their tongues
in the alleys leading to the legislature.
The reign of the mist will be over.
There will be sunshine in every corner.
I want to smile like my daughter
and sleep like my grandfather.
