KATHMANDU, July 23: The Sajha Party has urged Nepali nationals across the globe to stand together with the campaigners of “Enough is Enough” and show solidarity with the campaign.
Issuing a statement on Thursday, the party has called on the Nepali people to stand together with the campaign to exert pressure on the government for the better management of the COVID-19 crisis.
The campaigners of “Enough is Enough” are staging a hunger strike for the second time in Kathmandu and it has been six days since. But, the government seems unaware about it.
Let Sajha rise
Earlier, the Government of Nepal had committed to fulfill the demands of the campaigners; however, there has not been any progress in COVID-19 crisis management. So, Kiran Gurung and Samaira Shrestha, the members of the “Enough is Enough” Campaign, have initiated Satyagraha for the second time.
Independent groups of youths have been demonstrating and protesting in various cities of Nepal demanding an increase in the scope of the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests, proper health safety to frontliners and other improvements in COVID-19 crisis management.
“The government has paid no heed to these issues raised by the campaigners. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will be responsible if anything happens to these youths and campaigners,” reads the statement.
