KATHMANDU, March 13: Seven people died, three went missing and one was injured in a tractor mishap in Bajura district Thursday night.
The tractor (Se 1 Ta 2645) met the accident while it was headed for Sanfebagar, Achham from Bahrabishe, Bajura. Six passengers and the tractor’s driver died in the accident, while the helper was injured, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Durgalal Chowdhary. Eleven people were travelling on the tractor that fell 700 meters from the road.
Police said the accident occurred after the tractor’s brakes failed. Police, army and locals have reached the accident site for rescue.
