Those arrested are Raju Bohara of Rudreshwar VDC-2 and Bikram Bohara, Deepak Bohara, Keshav Bohara, Birendra Lohar, Punte Lohar and Manoj Lohar of Rudreshwar VDC-3 in Baitadi. All seven have been taken to District Police Office, Baitadi.
Khadayat´s father Dhir Singh Khadayat on Saturday had filed a complaint against the seven after his son didn´t return home. He alleged that they had time and again threatened his son of life.
Khadayat´s body was found in the Chameliya River in Chamtadi of Gokuleshwar on Saturday evening. The body has been sent to Baitadi´s district headquarters Gothalapani for postmortem.
Main accused Bikram Bohara is a coworker of Khadayat at Chameliya. Both Khadayat and Bohara had applied for the driver´s post in the project a few months ago. Khadayat was appointed for the project´s construction period, while Bohara started working on daily wage basis.
Dhir Singh has accused Bohara of threatening his son with life after he was appointed in the driver´s post.
The victim´s family suspects that Bohara had killed Khadayat and thrown him into the river soon after abducting him with his vehicle from Gokuleshwar with the help of his aides four days ago.
