'Septuagenarians should not be given chance to contest polls'

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Minister for Defense Bhimsen Das Pradhan has said that the septuagenarian politicians should not be given tickets to contest in the elections.

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Minister for Defense Bhimsen Das Pradhan has said that the septuagenarian politicians should not be given tickets to contest in the elections. 



Speaking in a greetings exchange programme here in Kathmandu Constituency-6 today, Minister Pradhan said that such practice should be established to encourage the youth leaders in politics. 

He further opined for making legal provision for the same in the days ahead.

Minister Pradhan, who is also the leader of Nepali Congress, expected that the country would head on the way to economic prosperity after the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives. 


In another note, he shared that the construction works of the Kathmandu-Nijgadh Fast-Track would be completed within four years. RSS
