Joshi was the president of the Nepal Journalists´ Association, Nepali migrants´ committee in India in 2013 BS. He had also worked in the government media in India.[break]
He was suffering from heart and stomach-related diseases, according to the family sources.
Joshi had established the Gorkha Library in Shillong, India in 2010. He also edited the newspaper Hatekhabar published from there at that time.
His last rites were performed at the bank of the Kankai River the same day.
