Security personnel removed from Koirala Niwas on federal govt decision-Karki

BIRATNAGAR, June 13: Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Hikmat Kumar Karki has clarified that security personnel has been removed from the Biratnagar-based Koirala Niwas as per the federal government's decision to withdraw security personnel stationed in the VIPs' house after their passing away.

BIRATNAGAR, June 13: Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Hikmat Kumar Karki has clarified that security personnel has been removed from the Biratnagar-based Koirala Niwas as per the federal government's decision to withdraw security personnel stationed in the VIPs' house after their passing away.


He said this responding to the queries of public importance raised by members of State-1's State Assembly in different dates. Minister Karki said the State government would frame a necessary policy for the security of VIPs and designating security personnel keeping in mind the importance of the residence of the late Girija Prasad Koirala.

Law Minster Karki said the State government was informed of the Mayor related incident of Itahari Sub-metropolis and the issue was resolved with efforts from all sides. The State government is cautious to not have such incidents repeated in days ahead, he added.


Minister Karki also shared that the State government was making necessary arrangement to prevent Dengue spreading in Dharan and also has put in place all mechanisms to check breakout of its epidemic in other areas. He also informed that the government has made the necessary arrangement of free treatment to all Dengue survivors in the area.
