POKHARA, Feb 6: Following heavy snowfall in Manang district, human mobility has been restricted as most of the roads and paths have been blanketed with a thick layer of snow. The District Administration Office of Manang has mobilized teams of security personnel to clear the paths in Chame, the district headquarters.
According to the chief district officer, Bishnu Lamichhane, the snowfall has resumed in the district from Saturday afternoon and is making it difficult to remove the snow from the paths. “Snow is up to two-feet thick on the roads,” he added.

The temperature has plunged to minus 8 degrees Celsius in Chame.
Almost every place that is above 2,000 meters from sea level in the district is receiving snowfall as of Saturday afternoon.
