BAITADI, Feb 4: Security personnel including Nepali Army have resumed the traffic along the Dasharath Chand Highway obstructed earlier due to snowfall.
The traffic was resumed along the highway since this afternoon by removing snowfall at Satbanjh-Gotalapani along the highway which was obstructed since Thursday.
Vehicular movement along Jaya Prithvi Highway resumes
A team of security personnel comprising the Nepali Army, the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force was deployed to remove snow. Vehicles and passengers stranded along the highway due to disruption have headed towards their destinations after the resumption of the traffic, said Company Commander of Hanumandhoj Company, Khil Bahadur Rana.
Spokesperson at District Police Office, Baitadi, Inspector Darshan Khadka said that although the vehicular movement along Satbanjh-Gotalapani road section has resumed, other highways in the district are still obstructed.
Traffic along the Mahakali Highway and Jayaprithivi Highway are still obstructed. He added, “Efforts are underway to resume highway using JCB. Problem has surfaced as snowfall is still taking place.”
