KATHMANDU, July 24: The search for a 13-year-old child who was swept away by a flood in Samakhushi, Kathmandu on Sunday, continues as rescue teams remain vigilant.
Sajan Magar, a school-going child, had ventured out to play after returning home on Sunday, but tragically got caught in the powerful current of a small rivulet. Despite the relentless efforts of rescue teams comprising Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and Disaster Management, the child's whereabouts remain unknown as of Monday morning, 10 AM.
Kathmandu experienced heavy rainfall on Sunday, leading to the flooding of small rivers, including the ones affecting areas like Samakhusi and Ranibari. Many families in these regions have been forced to endure the impact of the floods as water entered their houses.
