Search and rescue continue in Rasuwa

RASUWA (Dhunche), May 18: A search is on for the people missing in the landslide in Rasuwagadhi.

The task of clearing the debris from the customs and the immigration offices which were buried by the landslide and the road is going ahead expeditiously.


Two additional bodies of employees apart from the two customs employees were found while clearing the debris, the Nepalese Army's Narayandal Battalion stated. Two more customs office employees are still missing.

The Nepalese Army, Nepal Police and Chinese Armed Police Force personnel are involved in the search and rescue operation.

A huge landslide that fell from some 500 metres above is said to have also covered 11 containers in the customs area. It is still not known how many people were in the containers. RSS
