MAHOTTARI, Sept 23: The schools in Mahottari district are closed following an excessive rise in temperature. Manrasishwa Municipality in the far south of the district has announced six days of school holidays from Monday due to excessive heat.
The temperature in the district has soared to as much as 45 degrees Celsius since Mid-September. The chief administrator at the Municipality Rajesh Kumar Sharma shared that the schools were closed following the scorching heat. He added they took the decision as school children could be adversely affected due to the sudden rise in temperature.

Due to the high temperature, service seekers are also decreasing at public offices.
